Spring shows are over and this means I can devote more time to my regular markets! Come see me and Majesty Goodness over at the City Market on 104th street Saturday 9-3pm! I am right in front of the Blue Plate Diner... my old spot! I will also be at the St. Albert Market starting June 13th! Look for me on St. Anne Street... I am just a few spots down from last year.
And I have a few surprises for you! A new size of Majesty Messenger and a sweet surprise deal, this Saturday when you buy a Messenger you get a Free Mini Pouch! Wow! What are you waiting for?
So you've never been to a farmers market? What are you waiting for?
All you need is:
Comfy shoes
Hat
Sunscreen
Re-usable bag
Cash
See? It's so simple! Anyone can do it!
Come early if you want FRESH BREAD, veggies, flowers, baked goods....
and some of that Majesty Goodness I mentioned above.
I called this post "She Rests" because I had 7 shows this month.... ahh! Some were good, some were not so good, and some were GREAT! The last one was in Calgary at
Lilac Fest. I went with one of my favorite artists,
Julie Witten-Land.... and we had fun! The festival was WALL TO WALL PEOPLE! I have never seen that many people ever! It was insane! It was like a mosh pit from a Green Day concert got re-routed down 4th street. I sold out of my Camera bags and Wallets and hey, I made more so don't worry! It was also great to hang with
Salgato Fenwick and also
My Favorite Calgarian. A BIG thank you to Hadijia for providing us with a pretty little place to stay and rest our tired crafting hands and feet.
The funniest part of the trip was when we stopped for a slurpee and I locked the keys in the car, in the ignition... with the car running. Sigh. After a few tries to break in with a coat-hanger... AMA saved the day. I felt like such a loser while we waited, drinking a slurpee hanging out at the 7-11 at this age. Sheesh. Maybe back in the 90's... but not now.
Oh no, wait... the funniest part of the Festival was the busker who was RIGHT beside me. She sang "Forever Young" for seriously 4 hours straight. I am not embellishing AT ALL! In a southern twang no less. For 4 hours. I got her autograph... it's not every day you get to meet a one hit wonder.
