These mustaches are really getting around... if you know what I mean... hah a. But they WOULD be a GREAT gift for FATHERS day now that I think about it! My dad had a mustache when I was a baby, and yes, that was in the early 80's. I myself don't like facial hair on men, so this is the PERFECT solution. You can always have a mustache with you, but remain clean cut and attractive at all times. YAY! You can get your own from my online ETSY shoppe... right HERE! It's raining outside here in Edmonton. Which is ok, because I like the rain. I just don't like to get my hair wet. For some reason, in the movies everyone looks great with wet hair. This is not true in real life I have found. Also... I think everyone in the movies must wear waterproof makeup. I just make a mad dash to the house and hope no one see's me with raccoon eyes and frizzy wavy hair.
At least the rain means the snow is over, and this means our short Spring has come. My first spring show of the year was pretty fun, I got to meet some new vendors who were very cool! I picked up some spiral earrings from Kari Woo which are almost too "fancy" for me to wear everyday.... but will come in handy for when I dress like a grown-up. Next up I am in Calgary for Portobello West! Located at the Saddledome Fri, Sat & Sunday. I am looking forward to meeting new people and seeing what's at the show... Many Edmonton Vendors are coming down as well so watch out! Hope to see you there...

Or just to Thailand. Anywhere warm with palm tree's please! I am Very Excited because I leave this week for my mini-holiday from the snow and ice of Edmonton. I hope that when I get back a miracle will have taken place and green grass will be as far as the eye can see... (fingers crossed!) or maybe the weather will be just warm enough for walks around the lake. If not, I might just stay there. I have stocked up on my spf 45 sunscreen, summer clothing, books and movies to amuse myself on my 24+ hours flights.... and a new bathing suit.

One costs around $45, the other around $325. Can you guess which is which? The one on the left is from Etsy, the shoppe name is bettieB. The one on the right is from Anthropologie. Yeah. I bought my new suit on Etsy a few weeks ago, and today while I was checking out Anthro I saw this one that looked a bit similar..... and then I saw the price! Ouch! It seriously doesn't cost that much to make a bathing suit. I am a little appauled. Makes me think twice about that lable on my clothing..... and glad that I buy handmade.
I hope you will too. The designers on Etsy are just as cool as the ones in the stores, and chances are the prices are cooler too.
Last week I had the pleasure of meeting another local Etsy seller in person! I thought I might need to bring presents for my cute little Nieces (one of whom I haven't met yet!) when I visit them this month in Asia..... after all, that's what all the favorite aunties do right? I am not about to relinquish my "Favored" position to some other auntie... (whom is really quite nice as well). (Just not the favorite).
I contacted gush4plush to make some custom cats for my girls, and they are so cute! gush4plush has been in my etsy favorites for awhile now, and I was very happy to have an occasion to SUPPORT HANDMADE! My favorite part about her work is the attention to detail. The eyes on the cats just pop right out at you! I love how she has melded a bit of cartoony-ness into her creations.
(They even have cute little Tails..... I wish I had a tail).
(If I could be any animal with a tail.... it would definitely be a Lemur).
