There is just one more Saturday Market left for me this season! But that doesn't mean that you have lost your chance to get your hands on Super Amazing Vinyl Goods! I will be doing some shows in November where you can come down and sort through all the new yummy things I will be making. Some things that I am excited about this week...

ONLY TWO MORE MARKET DAYS! That's right, there are only two Saturdays left to get amazing handmade vinyl goodies from me. I know that we are all sad, but I am really looking forward to taking a break. I have been working 7 days a week, (and most nights as well) for 7 months, and I need a break! There is a reason that God said to rest on the 7th day! And for my First Saturday off I am planning on going HERE for some small town fun! I went a couple years ago, and it was really fun. The people are fun too. I can't believe that they spend that much time and energy into growing vegetables. It kind of reminds me of that last full length movie that Wallace and Grommet did... "The Curse of the Giant Were-Rabbit" which is delightful... I recommend it.

I am also excited about the new shirt that arrived from Bondgirl this week.... I am a repeat customer at her shop because the shirts are awesome! And I love how they are high quality t-shirts too. Sometimes buying shirts online  can be sketchy, but you know when they state exactly what brand they use that they know what they are doing. And who doesn't love peacocks? I like the ones at the Calgary Zoo, because they roam free. Maybe not all the time, but it was really neat to see them out in the open the last time I was there.

And another thing I am excited about is that there are some fun art classes you can take at the Art Gallery of Alberta. Last year I took a class where we made our own Andy Warhol themed paintings. And that was super fun of course, I still have mine up on the wall. There are a few that I plan to take this semester which will be a nice break from sewing vinyl of course. 

Poison Apples and Cross Bones...

Hoo-ray for me! I have won a prize from KittyCrossBones, one of my favorite sellers on ETSY. I am so excited, because I really like to be a winner. She has had some big sales and promotions at her shop, and she really knows how to promote herself, and to be successful. There are quite a few sellers on ETSY that seem to make they're living by crafting and selling. I admit that it makes me a bit jealous. That is my dream, to not have to work for a company and to be able to be self sufficient! (And hopefully to wear my Pajammas most of the time).

At the Farmers market yesterday, I got to meet a REAL LIVE ETSY SELLER! And, thankfully she was already marked in my "favorites", and I love the items in her shop. There are some really great mittens HERE, and I really like this SCARF too. Thank you NeedleQueen for stopping by! It is so great to know that there are a lot of crafty/artsy people out there in the world, and thanks to the new Geo-locater over at ETSY you can find craftyness in your own city too!

Oh, and my super-awesome new shirt arrived this past week from Poison Apple Shirts and I am loving it! Here is a picture of it, so go get yourself one!    There is also a really cool "japanese wave" shirt, and I like the "tree heart" tee as well. I have to say, "Give ETSY a chance" because there are some really awesome things on here that you can't get in a real store. And, when you know that someone actually made it by hand, it means more than a big factory mass producing something. At least I think so.

Otherwise, there are TWO weekends that I am at the City Market on 104th street left. I admit that since the weather is getting colder, I am looking forward to not freezing all day! But if you are sad that you can't get Majesty goods in person, be sad no longer! I shall be at two shoes in November, so start saving your pennies! And my ETSY shop will be nice and full again, I promise.

It's like I can never get ahead...

First and for most, it was a beautiful day. Today was the perfect day to go for a drive, It was not too sunny, and the air was a little bit crisp and had that great "Winter is coming" smell to it. So I filled up my gas tank and drove all over the city. It was a fantastic day. I don't know what could make this day better?

Oh, I know.. THESE hot new shoes from John Fluevog. I was a little disappointed this season because John has been doing gasp-choke! Neutrals. The whole point of buying fluevogs rather than other inferior shoes is that they are unique and special. When you put them on, you are an unstoppable force of fluevog. But, surprise surprise, my bank account is not safe and these will be finding a home of they're very own soon. Just so pretty.  And I only have one pair of blue Fluevogs, so they need some more friends. It's totally justifiable, just give me a moment to think of a list of the reasons why.

Now yesterday wasn't like this at all. Yesterday just wasn't a good day. Yesterday was filled with irate customers that just would not be satisfied no matter what. They must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed. And it was really really cold! Violent Bursts of Wind! Really, my business cards were blown all down 104th street while I basically shoved all my stuff in my car as fast as I could while 2 guys held onto my tent so it didn't blow down the street. It was crazy! As a result, all of my promo pins were rained on, (Did I mention it was raining big fat tears?) and they are now rusted to the point of no return. I am pretty disappointed. But I can get more! It's not the end of the world! But I have to say that I am really looking forward to the LAST market day. I am tired of surprise weather.

Vinyl Love

Even though I have been wasting lots and lots of time watching worthless television lately, I have also been sewing up new stuff! Super exciting! I have some new messenger bags up for grabs at THE MARKET this weekend. I am loving hot pink and black lately, so here is a happy birdy bag with a pink applique, and some  stripey-stripes too.   I also made some mini bags to match this color scenario.... I think they are really sweet, and they are perfect for all your goodies and it fits in my handbags really well. A friend of mine has an argyle one in teal, and she says whenever she pulls it out she gets lots of compliments on it. I seriously love that! That is why I sew... to make people feel happy and special. I have some other new mini bags available, finally some more black radishes! My new favorite item... Olives. I love Green olives so much. So does my cat. If you give him one, he will roll around on it like mad, and then eat it if he hasn't kicked it under the fridge already.

On a personal note.... I had to put my cat on a diet. He gained 4 pounds this year, so I am determined to get him to lose it! I feel so sad that my cat is obese! I don't want to be a bad pet owner! So far, he is really grumpy, and I am just really happy that he hasn't gone to the bathroom on any of my possessions. I didn't add a "yet" after that because I am trying to be optimistic. Cats can be really mean sometimes. Vindictive. Nasty. They withhold affection, and they whine and always want they're way. Why would you ever want one? Because they are covered in fur and have tails and I am so jealose! If I could be an animal, it would definitly be a cat, and I used to want to be one when I was a kid. Now I just have a cute kitty touque that I wear sometimes to feel nostalgic.

And I apologize for my bad pictures. I am still learning how to use my new camera, and so far my pictures come out one of two ways. Grainy or somewhat viewable.

Anyhow, happy weekend and come down to the market to scoop up some vinyl love.

So I spent most of my night last night watching The Office, and I compleatly take it all back. Now that I have had a refresher of Dwight's strangeness... I realize that I would never want to marry him ever. And, I am not like him at all! Ouch! I just really really enjoy the character. And, I really really like to laugh at him.

(Just wanted to clear that up...)

Office Politics...

I wonder how many people rushed out to buy season 3 of "The Office" today? I know that I was actually counting down the days until season 3 came out. I got into it a bit late, season 3 had just started on T.V and my co-workers and family kept telling me how funny it was. So, my sister lent me season one and two, and I think its the funniest thing I have ever seen. I want to marry Dwight Shrute. It's just that simple. In fact, I think I am Dwight Shrute. We have a lot of things in common. For instance, he doesn't like to tip people for doing things that he can do himself. Me neither.....Dwight claims that he can and does cut his own hair. So do I. And... he is the most annoying person at Dunder Mifflen Paper and I would guess that I am one of the most annoying in my office too! One day I might tell you about "The Amazing Wizard of Oz Fight" which will either convince you or you will stop reading my blog. In any case it was funny.

Oh, I found a super awesome seller on ETSY that sells really neat art prints of... you guessed it... Dwight Shrute. Check out the shop, it's made by ELLOH and the office prints are amazing! Not only are there many many Dwight Shrute's, there are also some prints from "Lost" and "Amelie" too. I think they are wonderful, and I wish I had more wallspace to hang art. I am getting pretty full by now, and anyway, those DVD's are calling my name...
